Two months to go until my solo exhibition

When I first decided to hold this show, I had so many thoughts running through my mind:

"Isn't it a bit too early?""Maybe I should join more group exhibitions and learn from others first.""Would anyone even come to see my paintings...?"

But a solo exhibition has been one of my long-time dreams. And as I kept asking myself, “What am I waiting for?” and “What does ‘preparing’ really mean?”, the question became much simpler:

"Do I want to do this, or not?"

Once I realised that yes, I do want to try, it felt right to go for it. Whatever the outcome, I knew the experience itself would be meaningful to me. Now I find myself genuinely enjoying the process - both creating and preparing. And in the end, I think I chose this path simply because I want to keep painting. It all feels like a natural step forward.

With heartfelt appreciation,

Yae Takahashi
