Roots

Commission work

Roots explores growth and connection through forms that gradually transform into one another.

A cream-coloured woven pattern grows into tree-like forms, which become the bodies of turtles. The turtles connect through their joined hands, allowing the pattern to continue across the work. Leaves in yellow, orange and red suggest growth and the gradual ripening of something over time.
